The 16th amendment of the Constitution of Bangladesh was passed in the national assembly with a 327-0 votes. The amendment will come into effect after the gazette will publish. From different sources (newspaper- BDNEWS24 ) it is said that this amendment will restore the parliament's power to sack judges.

Law Degree at Dhaka University

University of Dhaka, Bangladesh offers Bachelors of Law, LLB a four years course.
Besides this it also have M.Phil and Ph.D degree. The faculty dean said that they  in addition to the basic classes  which are considered necessary to a legal education, they offer courses, seminars, and workshops which both reflect the professional interests of their students and also serve to enrich the learning experience. Their curriculum provides students with the educational preparation necessary for careers in traditional legal practice, the corporate world, clinical law, government and public service as well as other less traditional careers.
The dean of Law is Professor Dr. Taslima Monsoor and the Chairperson of the department of law is Professor Dr. Shahnaz Huda.

The International Court of Justice

The International Court of Justice is acts the World Court. It is the judicial organ of United Nation (UN). The establishments of the court is in 1945 and started to work in 1946. It is situated in the city Hague of Netherlands (Dutch). There are 15 judges who are selected by the United nations General Assembly and the security Council. They are elected for Nine years (9).

Child Labor National Legislation against in Bangladesh


 Child Labor National Legislation against in Bangladesh

Bangladesh  Ministry of Labor and Employment has reviewed all fragmented laws related to child labor to fixing a uniform age for admission to work and to prohibit their engagement in hazardous occupations.
The Labor Act (2006) describes  the minimum age for admission to work is 14 years and 18 years for hazardous work.
In addition, light work for children between the ages of 12 - 14 years is defined as non-hazardous work that does not impede education.
Other laws that define the rights and protections due to children are:
  • The Children Act (1974) and the Children Rules (1976);
  • The Compulsory Primary Education Act, 1990.
  • The Suppression of Violence against Women and Children Act (2000); and
  • The Bonded Labor Act, 2006;
